BLOG: START

For a while, I've wanted something to update more regularly on my site.

The main problem has always been thinking I had nothing to write about. I have social media, obviously. A Tumblr blog, even. But I hate to post any of my own thoughts on it. I do not need my ramblings discovered by other people the way social media makes it discoverable.

But then, I don't want to keep a dream journal. I don't really feel like tracking the media I check out. I don't know why I would tell strangers about my problems, and really I don't care to post about my days...

...and so on and so forth. But finally, I've realized you don't really need to be "interesting" or "productive" to write about things.

Awesome.

Anyways, I thought it'd be fun to base the design of this place off of receipts. There's maybe stuff to unpack there. I really just thought it'd be funny. And I'm always fond of black and white.

Launching this is a little bit daunting. In the days after I do, I'll probably redo the layout a few times and try to add more features. But that's then, this is now.

I'll likely try only writing about what I make on the interwebs, but I might become a media review guy. Maybe I'll eventually write down anecdotes or something. Mostly, I just want to show I exist, and I create. If I don't, I think I'll wither away for good.
